See Victorian cobbled streets and shops/houses in a unique museum location in Kirkstall, Leeds as Session Days makes it’s way across the pennines to host this brand new event.
With a variety of actors/models, we will be using Abbey Museum as the setting for you to take and make great story-telling images of the Victorian Era.
Our featured artists include Dean Turner, Foxy Jasper, Rebecca, Michaela Short and Jonathon Carley.
EVENT OVERVIEW
WHEN?
This event is being held on Monday 18th May 2026 and there are 2 slots to choose from.
Morning
9:15 AM – 12:35 PM
Afternoon
14:00 PM to 17:20 PM
On each slot, you will work in a team of three to photograph each of the five featured models for approx 36 minutes on each of the five sets.
WHERE?
This event will take place at Abbey Museum, Abbey Walk, Abbey Rd, Kirkstall, Leeds

where we will be staging five sets for our Victorian Models.
WHAT?
The event features six professional Victorian models and there are 18 places for photographers on the morning and afternoon sessions. Attendees will work in teams of three with each model in turn.

All of our models are professional actors and models. They are engaging to work with and spectacular to photograph.

ABBEY MUSEUM, LEEDS
Abbey House Museum in Kirkstall, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England is housed in the gatehouse of the ruined 12th-century Kirkstall Abbey and is a Grade II listed building.
The ground floor is set out as an area of Victorian streets, illustrating a range of shops and services and including original shop fittings. Step back in time and wander through the enchanting streets, shops and houses and meet and photograph our specially chosen Victorian models and actors.
ESSENTIAL INFO
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This event is an opportunity for you as photographer to work closely with each model in turn. You will be working in groups of three on each of the five sets.
LIGHTS/ACTION?
Lighting equipment will be provided on each set. The use of equipment is included within your admission price. On each set we will be designing a lighting setup to suit the model. Lights will be continuous and will mean that you should use ISO and wide open apertures to capture the right images. If you require assistance using the lights provided then we will be on hand to provide expertise.
