We are returning to Hangar 42 in Blackpool with a different line up of models. Our events at Hangar 42 have been so successful that we had to come back. With planes and vehicles from WWII and six outstanding models, this session day provides you with the opportunity to take images of iconic characters in a unique location with the perfect backdrops.
EVENT OVERVIEW
WHEN IS IT?
This event is being held on Saturday 28th September 2024. Morning slots start at 9:15 AM and finish at 12:47 PM and afternoon slots start at 14:00 PM and finish at 17:32 PM .
WHERE IS IT?
Hangar 42 is at Blackpool Airport and contains a number of military and civilain attractions that provide the perfect backdrop for WWII inspired portraiture. The Address of the venue is : Spitfire Visitor Centre, Hangar 42 (South), Blackpool Airport Squires Gate Lane, Blackpool, FY4 2QY
ACCESS?
The venue is all on one floor and has a ramp and is wheelchair friendly.
WHAT IS IT?
The event features six models who will all be in period costumes. There are eighteen places for photographers in the morning and another eighteen places for photographers in the afternoon .

MEET THE MODELS
RETRO ROB
If you have worked with him before then you know how good he is as a model. If you haven’t worked with him before then we suggest you don’t miss this opportunity. Suave, polished, stylish and the King of Cool, Rob will be strutting his stuff in RAF attire.

EMMA CAT
Emma Cat is from London and is making her debut appearance for us on a Session Day at Hangar 42. Emma is an experienced model for art, pinup and fashion photography, painting, sculpture and illustration. She has a passion for vintage style and is skilled at creating period hair and makeup looks. Emma is also a circus acrobat and loves to bring her adventurous daredevil spirit to a shoot!.

PAUL Mg
Paul will be making his debut appearance on a location event for Session Days at Hangar 42. He is a professional reenactor with an eye for detail and will be an RAF Officer on the day.
CHELSEA
Chelsea is a reenactor and model making her debut appearance for us on Session Days. She will be our land girl for the day.
RALPH OAKLEY as SPITFIRE PILOT
Ralph is an accomplished reenactor, and will be reprising his role as our Spitfire pilot for this event at Hangar 42. For this event he has sourced some additional authentic items to perfect his portrayal of a WW2 hero.
VICTORIA LUCIE
Victoria is an actress and model and is no stranger to WW2 re-enactment. She brings a bubbly, charismatic energy to her modelling performances that makes story-telling portraiture that much easier.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Hangar 42 is located at Blackpool Airport, Lancashire. Constructed in 1939 for the RAF at the outbreak of WW2, Hangar 42 was home to various RAF and Polish Squadrons, operating night fighter cover for Preston and Merseyside Docklands.
The hangar has been relatively untouched since 1945 and retains many original features. The ancillary rooms at the side of the building have been cleared and restored with period features and furniture.
There is parking on site and we have a first class lineup to suit the theme of the venue.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We believe firmly that group events should allow everyone attending to get an equal opportunity to shoot with each of the models. We arrange attendees into groups of three and then rotate each group around the sets in turn approximately every 27 minutes or so. Our events are run with precise timings so that it works for everyone involved with a short break between each set. On this event each attendee will get to work with each of the six models in turn
LIGHTS/ACTION?
Lighting equipment will be provided on each set for use during both sessions. The use of equipment is included within your admission price. On each set we will be designing a lighting setup to suit the theme. Lights will either be continuous lights or studio/strobe lighting with triggers and modifiers for your use. If you require assistance using the lights provided then we will be on hand to provide expertise.
You are also welcome to bring along your own lighting rigs if you are more comfortable using them but you must keep them with you at all times.
