Hot on the heels of the success of our first Masterpieces Session Day, we are now announcing Masterpieces 2 which will take place on Saturday 15th November 2025 in Stockport.
We will be creating sets to enable you to take and make images based upon the famous works of Gustav Klimt (Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer), Frans Hals (The Laughing Cavalier), Sculpture (Venus de Milo), Grant Wood (American Gothic) and John Waterhouse (The Soul of a Rose).
Our line up of models is as follows : Ivory Flame, Meg Modelling, Mia Moore, Paul Mg, G Brodie and Michaela Short.
Attendees will work in pairs (2) around the five sets.
EVENT OVERVIEW
WHEN?
This event is being held on Saturday 15th November 2025 and there are 3 slots to choose from.
Morning
9:15 – 11:25 AM
Lunchtime
12:15 to 14:25 PM
Afternoon
15:15 to 17:25 PM
On each slot, you will work in a team of two to photograph each of the five featured models for 22 minutes on each of the five sets.
WHERE?
This event will take place at All Saints Parish Church, Manchester Road, Stockport

where we will be staging five sets that recreate masterpieces of the art world.
WHAT?
The event features five professional models and there are ten places for photographers on each of three sessions. One in the morning, one at lunchtime and one in the afternoon. Attendees will work in pairs (groups of two) with each model in turn.

THE MASTERPIECES & THE MODELS
Each masterpiece portrait will be specifically styled with the models shown below. We will not necessarily be using exact costume/backgrounds in the original paintings but as close as we can get. As you will be working in pairs and once you have created the hero image, there should be time for you to be creative with each model to apply your own spin on the classic character/painting.
Classic Sculpture
Meg Modelling will be posing on a plinth and recreating graceful, classic sculpture poses.

THE SOUL OF A ROSE
Ivory Flame with her distinctive red hair and ethereal beauty will be recreating this iconic John Waterhouse classic painting.

AMERICAN GOTHIC
G Brodie will be our model to recreate one of the most famous of all portrait paintings. We have a specially commissioned backdrop to add that extra touch of authenticity. Graham will be joined by actress, Michaela Short, to play the part of the woman.

Paul Mg is our Laughing Cavalier by Frans Hals in a costume specially made for this event.

ESSENTIAL INFO
HOW DOES IT WORK?
This event is an opportunity for you as photographer to work closely with each model in turn. You will be working in pairs on each of the five sets with backdrops.
LIGHTS/ACTION?
Lighting equipment will be provided on each set. The use of equipment is included within your admission price. On each set we will be designing a lighting setup to suit the model. Lights will either be continuous lights or studio/strobe lighting with triggers and modifiers for your use. If you require assistance using the lights provided then we will be on hand to provide expertise.
